Late Summer Weddings

AUGUST 23, 17 • Real Weddings, Planning

Its August…we can see summer slowly closing as the evenings begin to become cool, sunflowers bloom, and here in Vermont if you look closely, you can ever so slightly see the green hue of the leaves start to turn shades of gold and auburn. But there is still time to enjoy all that summer has to offer in this beautiful month.

August weddings have the wonderful opportunity to take advantage of all that summer has to offer while indulging in the rich colors that autumnal weddings get to enjoy. While May and June tend to lend themselves to softer colors; and July is often bright; August may be all of that and more: deep red, burgundy, navy, orange, and plum start to pop up in August and we love it!

So if your you are planning a late summer wedding, take delight in these long summer days. Choose cocktails that reflect your summer mood, continue to enjoy the bountiful foods of summer, have lawn games for your guests to play during cocktials and after dinner, roast s'mores by the bonfire, and indulge in the colors of summer as well as the richness of color that late summer brings!
